Create natural, thriving habitats with the Arcadia EarthMix range, a premium collection of bioactive-ready substrates designed to replicate a variety of wild environments. Available in specialised blends for rainforest, arid desert and prairie setups, EarthMix provides a safe, natural foundation for reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, live plants and bioactive custodians.

Each EarthMix substrate is made from carefully selected organic ingredients and is considered "pre-fed", allowing custodians such as springtails and isopods to be introduced immediately. Rich in natural minerals and amino acids, EarthMix supports healthy plant growth while helping to maintain a balanced, self-sustaining ecosystem.

Unlike many substrates, EarthMix contains no non-natural particles that could contribute to impaction, making it a safe choice for a wide range of species.

Available Blends

EarthMix Original
A versatile substrate ideal for rainforest and woodland species. It can be maintained at higher humidity levels through regular misting or kept partially dry to provide natural humidity gradients within the enclosure.

EarthMix Arid
Developed for desert, scrubland and dry woodland habitats. This fine-grade blend allows for natural burrowing behaviour while creating a humidity gradient beneath a dry surface layer.

EarthMix Prairie
Designed to replicate prairie and scrubland environments. Combining organics, clays and minerals, it offers excellent drainage, supports bioactive custodians and encourages natural behaviours. Can be enhanced further with leaf litter for additional enrichment.
